It’s true – the gym is closed until January. It’s good for us, it’s good for you – it’s good for the Holiday Spirit.

However, you don’t need to fret about what happens when the Happiest Place on Earth (well, at least Santa Barbara) closes for a little bit. Life still goes on! You’re probably not going to gain 10 lbs in two weeks, you’re not going to completely lose all of your gains, and you’re not going to walk into the gym in January a hot wreck…unless of course, the next two weeks are completely filled with nonstop drinking, partying, not sleeping, and binging on only Mac n Cheese.

A good gym empowers you to not NEED it when schedules change – like when the gym is closed, or if you travel for work or vacation.

So what can you do with all of this free time you’re suddenly finding yourself with? Here are a few suggestions:

  • Go for a walk with your kids (or dogs, or friends) to go look at awesomely lit houses
  • Go hiking on a new trail (bring a buddy for safety!)
  • Spend a little more time running
  • Try our Reindeer Games Workout
  • Do 100 burpees for time
