To continue our series of clients crushing it over the summer, we now turn to our group strength programs. I love the Strength Program because everyone gets to lift things, get stronger, and cheer each other on along the way. Strong has always been beautiful here, and watching our clients come out of their shells, find their inner athlete and throw down on a workout like they’re hungry for more is fucking awesome. Period.

CRUSHING CROSSFITTERS

We are NOT a Crossfit gym. We’re more like Crossfit’s nicer, smarter, quieter sister. We don’t do barbell work, crazy overhead lifts (snatches, overhead squats, etc.), or an insane amount of heavy weight, but you will see some aspects of the Crossfit “style” in our  programming…so asking our clients if they’d be brave enough to essentially walk into the Lion’s Den to throw down in a workout against a bunch of Crossfitters seemed like a huge task – and it was – but Raquel stepped out of her comfort zone and stepped up to the challenge.

She learned how to deadlift with a barbell, do jumping pull-ups, and use a rowing machine. Her base level of fitness was there, she just needed to refine her equipment knowledge and learn how to pace herself in difficult situations. Raquel ended up placing THIRD in her division! THIRD! Against Crossfitters!

We’re always proud of our clients, but to know that Raquel was willing to try something new, trust her training, and execute her plan was really wonderful to watch. Our Strength Program prepares you for just about anything life – or your coach – throws at you.
